The Two Museums Program (TMP) is a partnership between Adelphi University and the International March of the Living, which was launched in 2023 by Dr. David Machlis and Social Entrepreneur Lee Maschler.

Initially, TMP was an immersive educational experience aimed at college students exploring the shared and distinct histories of Black and Jewish communities. The program aimed at inspiring students from these two communities to unite to face the current challenges posed by antisemitism, anti-black racism, and intolerance.

Led on the ground by Dr. David Machlis and Professor Joseph Celentano, both from Adelphi University, students participate in guided visits to two landmark Washington DC museums – the National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM).

The program includes educational lectures and discussions by leading scholars that encourage meaningful dialogue, historical understanding, and civic responsibility.

TMP is offered to college students, including those interning in Washington, D.C., providing a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in conversations that matter. The program is fully funded by generous donations received from those committed to learning from the past to promote a more peaceful and inclusive society.
